Linux and Steam Deck
Install Ryujinx Canary on Linux
Choose x64 for most Linux desktops and Steam Deck. Use arm64 only for ARM Linux devices.
Linux downloads
Steps
- 1. Download a `.tar.gz`, `.tar.xz`, or AppImage for your CPU. Steam Deck users should pick x64.
- 2. Extract tar archives with your file manager or `tar -xvf filename.tar.gz` / `tar -xvf filename.tar.xz`.
- 3. For AppImage, mark the file executable from file properties or run `chmod +x ./file.AppImage`.
- 4. Launch Ryujinx. If dependencies or graphics drivers are missing, check the release notes and Ryubing docs for your distro.
- 5. On Steam Deck, do setup in Desktop Mode first, then optionally add the AppImage to Steam for Gaming Mode.
