Install Ryujinx Canary on Linux

Choose x64 for most Linux desktops and Steam Deck. Use arm64 only for ARM Linux devices.

Steps

  1. 1. Download a `.tar.gz`, `.tar.xz`, or AppImage for your CPU. Steam Deck users should pick x64.
  2. 2. Extract tar archives with your file manager or `tar -xvf filename.tar.gz` / `tar -xvf filename.tar.xz`.
  3. 3. For AppImage, mark the file executable from file properties or run `chmod +x ./file.AppImage`.
  4. 4. Launch Ryujinx. If dependencies or graphics drivers are missing, check the release notes and Ryubing docs for your distro.
  5. 5. On Steam Deck, do setup in Desktop Mode first, then optionally add the AppImage to Steam for Gaming Mode.
